Shannon
Shannon has loved animals since she was very young. She started working with them in 2017 pet sitting, dog walking, volunteering and teaching training classes with a rescue, Our Companions in Manchester, CT. Shortly after, Shannon began working as a kennel technician at Animal Medical Clinic and soon moved up to a vet assistant and receptionist until 2022. Shannon then worked for Morris Vet Cardiology, until her retirement in 2023. Working with Dr. Morris brought Shannon to the Feeding Hills Vet Clinic during their mobile cardiology appointments and she found an opportunity with our West Springfield office to fill her current role as Client Service Representative. In her free time she enjoys reading, gaming, hiking, and playing with her calico cat, Kitty.

Michelle
Michelle got her start in veterinary medicine over 2 decades ago at a large shelter on Long Island, NY.  Beginning in the dispensary, she learned about many medications, what they treat, dosing and different veterinary medical terminology.  She later split her time learning some basic technician skills, feeding, cleaning, medicating and blood draws for various hospitalized animals.

After 12 years at the shelter, she moved on to a private practice and made a switch to reception while also getting certified in pet grooming.  While there, she also took on more managerial tasks and then later moved on to an integrative practice learning alternative medicine such as Chinese herbs and acupuncture.  After spending over 7 years there, she relocated to Western MA.  Once getting situated and settled, Michelle accepted a position as Office Manager with West Springfield Veterinary Clinic.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time at home with her partner, their 3 dogs and cat, gardening, hiking and exploring the area, health and fitness.

Janessa

Veterinary Assistant

Janessa comes from East Springfield, Massachusetts and has always had a passion for working with animals, and has been working with them since 2019. She has a pocket pitbull, bearded dragon, leopard gecko, and 3 comet goldfish. While she loves all animals, she loves getting to work with exotics but more specifically reptiles. Janessa likes to read and if the weather is nice, she enjoys going longboarding in the park with her dog.

Arianna

Veterinary Assistant

Arianna is from Springfield, Massachusetts, and has grown up around animals. Since then, she always wanted to work with them somehow, someway! She is in school working towards earning her Veterinary Assistant Certificate. While she is starting out as a veterinary assistant, her end goal is to become a veterinarian.

She chose the veterinary field not only for her love of animals, but also because she enjoys being able to see so many animals, different breeds, and to help in any way possible.

Arianna has two cats, Storm and Shadow. The things outside of working that she enjoys doing range from reading books, traveling, watching and attending car races.

Angela

CVPM/Director of Operations

Angela grew up in East Longmeadow, MA. She loves animals and enjoys advocating for excellent patient care, as well as giving pet owners all the tools necessary to make informed decisions. She works endlessly to make sure the operations of the clinic flow as smoothly as possible- from the client side of things as well and the staff side of things. She enjoys seeing staff grow and develop in their careers. Although she is more on the business side of things now, she really enjoys senior care and pitbulls.

Angela’s goal for WSVC is to be known for being the best vet clinic around- not only because we have great doctors, but because we can relate to owners and we try to provide them with the best
possible patient care and work within their constraints.

When not at work, she likes hiking, hockey games, and hanging out with her fur babies (PewPew and Oscar the cats– and George, Eleanor, and Norah the dogs.)
