Meet Our Staff
Meet the veterinary staff of West Springfield Veterinary Clinic. We’re pleased to provide exceptional vet care for your pets.
Kat
Veterinary Assistant
Kat has been a dedicated Client Service Representative in the veterinary industry since 2017. Recently, she transitioned into the role of Veterinary Assistant. Known for her caring smile and willingness to help, Kat is always ready to listen and assist in any way she can. At home, she enjoys the company of her cat, Kado, who adores nap time and cuddles.
Bri
Shannon
Michelle
After 12 years at the shelter, she moved on to a private practice and made a switch to reception while also getting certified in pet grooming. While there, she also took on more managerial tasks and then later moved on to an integrative practice learning alternative medicine such as Chinese herbs and acupuncture. After spending over 7 years there, she relocated to Western MA. Once getting situated and settled, Michelle accepted a position as Office Manager with West Springfield Veterinary Clinic.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time at home with her partner, their 3 dogs and cat, gardening, hiking and exploring the area, health and fitness.
Janessa
Veterinary Assistant
Janessa comes from East Springfield, Massachusetts and has always had a passion for working with animals, and has been working with them since 2019. She has a pocket pitbull, bearded dragon, leopard gecko, and 3 comet goldfish. While she loves all animals, she loves getting to work with exotics but more specifically reptiles. Janessa likes to read and if the weather is nice, she enjoys going longboarding in the park with her dog.
Angela
CVPM/Director of Operations
Angela grew up in East Longmeadow, MA. She loves animals and enjoys advocating for excellent patient care, as well as giving pet owners all the tools necessary to make informed decisions. She works endlessly to make sure the operations of the clinic flow as smoothly as possible- from the client side of things as well and the staff side of things. She enjoys seeing staff grow and develop in their careers. Although she is more on the business side of things now, she really enjoys senior care and pitbulls.
Angela’s goal for WSVC is to be known for being the best vet clinic around- not only because we have great doctors, but because we can relate to owners and we try to provide them with the best
possible patient care and work within their constraints.
When not at work, she likes hiking, hockey games, and hanging out with her fur babies (PewPew and Oscar the cats– and George, Eleanor, and Norah the dogs.)
Lynda
Veterinary Assistant
Lynda began her career working in a factory for 25 years before making the inspiring decision to return to school. She graduated from HCC in 2010 and, in 2016, transitioned from factory work to pursue veterinary medicine full time.
She truly enjoys building lasting relationships with clients and their pets and strongly believes in the importance of the human-animal bond. Helping families care for their beloved companions is one of the most rewarding parts of her work.
At home, Lynda shares her life with quite the feathered and furry family: two Meyer’s parrots, Pozi and Zuni; a Senegal parrot, Telly; a starling named Birdie Sanders; and four cats—Leo, Spencer, Mookie, and Loretta.
Outside of work, Lynda has a creative spirit. She enjoys acrylic painting, landscapes, calligraphy, and watercolor. She also loves gardening—especially bearded iris, African violets, cactus, and ferns. When she’s not creating art or tending her garden, you might find her kayaking, riding her motorcycle, bird watching, or relaxing at the beach—particularly in Newburyport.
Sara
Customer Service Representative
Sara got started in the veterinary field working at the Dakin Humane Society in the spay/neuter clinic. She enjoyed helping animals and the people who love them. Being a receptionist is a challenging role but she’s grateful for all she has learned about animal health and wellbeing by working with great doctors and techs throughout her career. She has a chiweenie named Zoe who came to her from TJO as a foster failure. She was caring for her after she was hit by a car and she stole her heart. She is a delight who does tricks and loves to play with toys. Zoe loves visiting her friends at the clinic! Sara also has a human child, Gavin. He just turned 21! In her free time she enjoys riding her bike (to work!), making music and art, and most recently gardening.
